Cross-progression lives here
Operators, camos, and battle pass progress follow the Activision account across PC and console.
Call of Duty / Activision account
Every Call of Duty — Warzone, Black Ops, Modern Warfare — uses an Activision account. Your storefront account (Battle.net, Steam, PlayStation, or Xbox) links to it, and your unlocks and cross-progression follow the Activision ID.
Step 1
Use a lasting email, your real date of birth, and a unique password. If you played older CoD titles, sign in instead.
Step 2
Enable Activision 2FA in account security. Save the backup codes the moment they appear.
Step 3
In Linked Accounts, connect every platform you play on. Cross-progression only works when they point to the same Activision ID.
Step 4
Some modes require SMS verification. Use a number you will keep — this is not the account for a throwaway number.
Step 5
Store the Activision ID#number, email, password, linked platforms, and backup codes on one card.
Operators, camos, and battle pass progress follow the Activision account across PC and console.
A console account can only link to one Activision ID. Recording which one avoids lost progress.
That makes them a target. Unique passwords and 2FA backup codes are the difference between a lock and a loss.
Each yearly release signs into the same Activision account. Store it once, find it every November.
Recent Call of Duty releases, including Black Ops 7, joined Battlefield 6 in requiring TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot on PC for anti-cheat.
If the game refuses to start after a BIOS update, check that Secure Boot is still on before blaming your account.
