Short answers for the things people ask most. Need a walkthrough? Take the product tour. The FAQ cluster is the longer Q&A set; this page is getting started.
- How do I get started?
- Create a free vault from the homepage, then add logins as library cards. The onboarding tour covers PIN setup, search, and backups.
- Is my vault encrypted?
- Yes. Your vault is encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before it is saved to your account. It is not zero-knowledge: we store a check value made from your username and 4-digit PIN, and Google convenience mode stores a vault key on our servers for that Google session. 2FA codes and quick notes are saved only on this device.
- What is Premium for?
- Premium raises your account limit and unlocks a private vault-tied disposable inbox and burner numbers. Free still stores notes, authenticator codes, and the recovery email you save on each card. Plans and prices are on the pricing page.
- Does Free include a LoginScout-issued temp inbox?
- No. A LoginScout-issued disposable inbox is Premium. Free can store the recovery email you already have — including a Proton alias or a public temp-mail address — on the library card.
- How does temporary email work in LoginScout?
- Premium vaults can create a disposable inbox for sign-ups. Verification messages land next to the saved password so you are not hunting through a public temp-mail site. See the temporary email page and the temp email for game signups guide.
- How do burner numbers work?
- When a site wants SMS, Premium can buy a short-lived line through 5sim and show the text in your vault. That is for accounts you own — not spam or stolen logins.
- Is this an account generator?
- LoginScout is a signup kit and a vault: passwords, disposable email, optional SMS, and storage. It does not create or sell Steam, Fortnite, or streaming accounts.
- Is LoginScout a replacement for Proton Pass or Guerrilla Mail?
- No. Proton Pass is a general password manager with hide-my-email aliases. Guerrilla Mail and Temp-Mail.org are public dumps. LoginScout is a gaming vault; only Premium issues a private inbox. See the compare pages.
- How do I delete my account?
- Sign in, open Settings, then Vault data, and press Delete account. It is deleted right away. If you cannot sign in, email [email protected]. If you sign in with Google or another provider, send it from that email address. For username + PIN accounts, include your username, and we may ask a few questions to check it is yours before we delete it. We reply and finish within 30 days. The Delete account page (loginscout.com/delete-account) lists what we delete and what we keep.
